As a Garland chiropractor, I realize how frustrating it can be when you’re dealing with a chronic medical condition. In fact, I first discovered the gentle, healing power of chiropractic care when I faced my own health challenge. About a decade ago, I suffered from chronic sinus infections. These infections were so bad, they not only effected by health, they also affected my work.
At the time, I was a high school science teacher. As any teacher knows, missing a day of school disrupts the classroom, the student’s lessons, and requires a whole lot a juggling to arrange for a substitute. But when the pounding headaches got too bad, it was impossible to concentrate on my students or a lesson plan. That’s when I knew I had to find a solution.
My mother encouraged me to see her chiropractor. Initially I was a little skeptical, but I felt I had nothing to lose.
Surprisingly, the doctor’s adjustments started helping right away. After a few adjustments, the headaches disappeared and my sinuses began to clear up. In a few months the recurrent infections were gone.
Following my amazing health transformation, I decided to go back to school to become a chiropractor myself. And now I share this wonderful form of medicine with patients who range in age from month-old babies to men and women in their nineties.
Meet Garland Chiropractor, Dr. Tyanna Sutton
Dr. Tyanna Sutton knew from the time she was a teen that she wanted to be a chiropractor. Like many others, her desire sprung from personal experience. Suffering from sports related back pain as a teen, Tyanna’s mother took her to see a local chiropractor who “fixed” the problem in a few short weeks. As she learned more about the benefits of chiropractic medicine, she knew she’d found her career.
In 2009 she graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Science. Later that year, she moved from Michigan to Dallas to attend Parker chiropractic college. Graduating in 2011, she holds a second bachelor degree in Anatomy, and a third in Health and Wellness. She is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic.
Married to Eddie, her husband of two years, she is an animal lover, loves reading, movies and challenging puzzles. If you ask her why she loves living in North Texas, Dr. Sutton will tell you it’s the friendly people and the warmer winters!
Our Fully Integrated Chiropractic Office
Recently we expanded our Garland Chiropractic clinic to include the services of an MD as well as a nurse practitioner. This allows you to receive an escalated level of care when needed.
We also offer a complete exercise rehab center staffed by an exercise physiologist and a trigger point massage therapist.
By providing rehab within our office, we ensure that you’ll have the opportunity to increase your range of motion and flexibility. This conditioning will help prevent reinjury.
We are also happy to prepare personalized home exercise programs, so that you can continue your strengthening at home if you wish.
For people with moderate to severe joint pain, we offer injections for knees, shoulders, and SI joints. These treatments can reduce inflammation, swelling and pain. With our knee pain treatment programs, hyluronic acid injections can help add cushioning and comfort to osteoarthritic joints.
Science Based Nutrition
By offering professional grade supplements and clinical lab testing, we can help you improve your health naturally. We’re here to assist you whether you’re simply looking for a better multi-vitamin or if you’re searching for a more complete program that includes a way to evaulate and better your current state of health.
